On most of my saws I just plug the decomp because I don't want any chance with it leaking and I can feel the raw compression lol. The pioneers p series seem to all have this over complicated auto decomp system. I want to plug it especially since its a 40+ year old decomp. Only issue, I've heard it can completely destroy the recoil because there's a linkage from the recoil to decomp. So my question is, is that true? What about removing the linkage as well? I think the linkage actually helps pull the starter claw back down, so don't think that would work, or maybe it will? Would like to hear your guys thoughts and if its possible. Thanks!
