Not tryin to be that guy, but just for clarity, you have a 288 carb and a 181 fuel tank that has a different style trigger and to my knowledge wont jive with the roller on the throttle shaft, it requires a wire throttle rod that clips into the trigger.

I have the clip and other carbs I will be sure to swap the carb out.
