Bridge ports

The test would have to be done with the same saw. Fully ported but without bridges, would be the first cuts. Then pull the jug add bridges and retest

Problem with quantifying results is that you can't assume they're most effective using the same build parameters as without them. Maybe bridge ports work best with more/less blowdown or different transfer entry angles or...

I done a cylinder without and then with and it picked up.

I don't think they work very good in a smaller saw but I bet fingers do,I got a 026 here that's getting fingers and a really big carb.

Seat of the pants feel?

It all boils down to how the saw runs when I put it in my hands in the end and if it cuts like I like. Seat of the pants feel. Sound can be deceiving though. Example is when I ported my 241c and ran it beside a Snellerized 346xp and the 346 screamed and I never thought the 241 would be close as the 241 didnt have the rpm of the 346. After video of both and averaging 4 cuts the 241 was a tad faster in 12" wood

I think it was tree monkey that said if you are getting gains from bridges or fingers than your transfers could be better.
I see it as a different way to get the same result.

Of course it was screaming. It wasn't cutting. Your comparing a clogged up semichisle to the best 3/8 lp. Run some PS or full size 3/8 on that 346 and see what happens.

Im pretty sure but I may be wrong that lgx is pro full chisel?

Bridges and fingers are a small gain in the saws I build, the Christmas saw and my 066 gained nothing from either, it didn't hurt them but it didn't help either.

Ive tried .375 , PS, and .325 on my 550xp. PS was faster on mine
