I am working on my 372. It had a busted crankcase on the flywheel side. I had another set of case halves, so I went ahead and put the bearings in just like the old one was. I then put the seals in. I heated the flywheel side bearing and slid the crank in. Then placed the gasket and heated the clutch side bearing and slid it on as far as it would go. I then put the screws in their spots and tightened it all down. I looked in the crankcase and the flywheel bearing pushed deeper in the housing during the tightening process. Should I rip it back apart and start over, or will it be fine? It is probably 1/8"- 3/16" deeper than it should be.
