Ever get screwed at a shop getting something fixed?
I normally fix my uncles truck for him but never had time to do ball joint so he took it into a shop. I just did the front bearing for him and noticed he had new ball lower ball joint and said the uppers needed fixes too and he should get them done. Any how he gets out the receipt and its for uppers and lowers. They sure dont look done to me.
Pic of lowers and uppers. You can see the uppers still have winter crap on them and were supposed to be done 5 weeks ago.

Anyone else have any bad luck at the auto shops?

They’ve never gotten me there, twin I beam fords are notorious for eating ball joints. I have to replace mine about every 50-60,000. Had just gotten done doing uppers and lowers as well as tie rod ends. Idiots tried to tell me I needed all4 new ball joints. Mind you I replaced them 2 days before.
Got done with them the night before leaving out. Had crap tires on it that were chewed on inner shoulders. Hit the road and was going to get it aligned while I was working.
They thought they saw me coming and worked up an estimate and everything, called me up and told me what I needed. I kindly told them where they could leave my truck with the keys in it, and where they could shove it.

They lost two customers that recommended me to drop it there that day. Just doesn’t pay to try to pull a fast one on folks. Be honest and do what’s right. I don’t think they even bothered crawling under it much less putting it on the rack to do pre alignment suspension check. Needless to say the shop owner called me and said there would be no charge and “was very sorry for his employees mistake”

Those are old, look at the rust on the lower mounting bolt, must have just lubed the tops, still got crud build-up. Take it back, make sure there's a lot of folks waiting, it will make them think and also ask to see the old ones also.

We had a customer come in a few weeks ago complaining about his car hadn't been looked at and no one has called him. Owner gave service writer the wrong phone number, made owner feel 2 foot hi.
