Good afternoon all

Working on a snowblower for a friend. He got it from a family member, and it doesn't like to run unless partially choked. I took it apart and found the purge line ripped and the main jet was plugged up. My guess is it was sucking air in through the ripped tube and generally just sat with some lousy gas.

Anyway, I want to button it back up, but need a new o-ring between the bowl and top, Want to avoid buying a whole kit if I can just get that ring.

Also hoping to get a diagram of how everything is supposed to go together. Someone else has been in here before me, and I think a gasket or two is missing or parts were in the wrong order. Also don't know if there are supposed to be any other o-rings on any jets or tubes inside.

This has the AX engine on it, which looks like an Ariens special made by LCI for them as a Tecumseh clone?

Appreciate any info you can offer up!

Need some numbers off the engine.
Probably a very long string of numbers and letters stamped or printed into the side of the lower crankcase.
Post a good picture. They use 0,O,Q and other characters that look similar to each other.
The model and serial number of the snowblower may help too.

Blower Model is 921030. Blower Serial is 25238.

Engine Model is PW6HK17750124EABGILOQUVX59E1M. Engine Serial is 1375H1105657A.

It looks cheaper to buy another Huayi carb off of eBay or Amazon than to get a kit that has the ring I need, and that's just silly. Would love to find just the ring I need if its at all possible.

Thanks!

Hmmmm... Gotta love these Chinese engines.
Not.
I can't find a breakdown of the carburetor to get a part number for the bowl gasket.
Parts for this engine are expensive, and don't appear to actually be available.
Looks like you need to buy a whole new engine! :crazylick:
Not.
I stock this gasket/ o-ring that fits a lot of Honda and Chinese engine carbs. Check out the attached pic. 52mm OD.
If it looks like it will fit, PM me your address and I will mail you one.
I have had problems with the aftermarket Huayi carbs on Amazon/ebay. I tried 3 times to get a good one for an MTD lawnmower I was fixing. None worked correctly right out of the box.
Pretty bad when the Chinese can't make a good copy of their own copy carburetor.

Thank you for the generous offer, but Ill let you hang onto your oring. Ill use those part numbers to hunt one down locally, will try to give a local guy the business. (If I fail on that, Ill shoot you a PM) Do you happen to know if the o-rings on the pilot jet are also something standard? I haven't tried to match them up to anything yet, wanted to do some looking around first.

I think Husqvarna also used this engine on some of their stuff, so might have an alternate parts avenue if it ever comes down to it. Really hate that there isn't a decent breakdown on this stuff compared to the older Briggs or Kohler stuff... But that's the way of the world I suppose.

I am also leery of the clone carbs, knowing that the QC cannot be great, and that there is a lot that might need to get straightened out. Mostly just want to get this running smooth for my friend, since he is leaving on vacation and this is the machine he is leaving behind for snow removal in his absence, and he is trying to make sure its trouble free.

I don't know what size o-ring is used on the pilot jet. I can't find a breakdown of the carb to even know what it looks like inside.
You could measure the o-ring and search online for a match. Keep in mind it will be metric, so use metric measurements.
Good luck in your hunt.

Thanks very much!

Didn't know if these were a common enough thing that it was a simple answer or not... Ill take some measurements and will post back once I get a chance to see what I can find.

Really appreciate the help and part numbers on that bowl O-ring.
