I feel the same. I’ve never won anything at a drawing, lottery, etc. Except a cake. Now AS is offering a chance at a free Stihl 500i if you just download their app, ironically enough on a platform named "Gather". Yes, indeed, I bet it is gathering, alright.
And all of a sudden folks who joined years ago and have three prior posts in all that time are showing up to say "I love the app, it's great", but when you look at the "last seen" user history they haven't been on the site in several years. I distrusted their sales pitch when they pushed the new app after the response from current users was poor, but now my distrust is cinched. It seems like they're always pushing to join new forums or some such, too. Why would they divert "business" from their own forum? Something ain't right.

Especially on the inter web. Of course my tin foil fits pretty tight.
I would probably have been more interested in downloading the app if there had been a McDonald's burger as a prize. Now AS is offering a chance at a free Stihl 500i if you just download their app, ironically enough on a platform named "Gather". Yes, indeed, I bet it is gathering, alright.
