Anyone using Forester Bars? New Featherlite...

These are NICE bars.
Sandvik MRA metal nose (not hard plastic like some).
They are K041 mount .325 .058 (Poulan & Echo).
Mine was $21.99/shipped.
Going on a Poulan 3300 (54cc).

That's pretty light!
I have the identical match Tsumura but too lazy to pull it off the saw @ the moment. Lol

Well, I had one of these in my cart waiting on a middle of the night impulse to strike. I decided to weigh one of my 18" narrow kerf bars. I really like that forester bar but I just don't need it. I guess I will save my money and buy some new underwear instead.

I put some more time on the Forester bar Wednesday and this afternoon. The oil hole is fine and doesn't need to be inlarged. I'm comparing this bar to the Oregon versacut. The price is similar. The Forester seems to have harder rails compared to the Oregon. IMHO is not a bad bar for the money.

My 2 Forester Plantinum bars are "allegedly" heat treated to 56 Rockwell Hardness...
After 3 years use, I have no reason to doubt it.
When they are wore out, I guess I can cut some knife blanks out of them. Lol

They make the Platinum in 3/8".
Solid steel bar, Swiss sprocket bearings.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one (I have a 24" also).

20" Platinum on one of my Shindaiwa 695's (68cc).

158 pounds.

Please don't ask me to take them off, weigh them & reinstall.
My laziness knows no bounds.

I do know, they weigh approximately the same as a standard laminated Stihl bar or Husqvarna bar.

Both bars have performed excellent for me.
I seek them out over the Tsurmura bars nowadays if I can buy them right.
I think the price of the Featherlite is a good value, but I haven't used my Featherlite yet so can't say for sure.
