Crapsman oil cap.... black choke lever instead of red....and not a 129xxx serial number......junk!!!!

One possibility is that this early MS 440 got a warranty cylinder replacement early on when the replacement cylinders in stock for warranty purposes from Stihl were the original oh 44 slant fin jugs left over from early production
Does it have a 10 mm crank

Couple 12 mm saws and a no decomp cylinder. Couple fuel tanks and so on.

You can build a saw and have plenty left over.

No pics till tomorrow, I'm already home from the shop
