I was widening the inlet port of a 044 cylinder and took it out a tad too far and broke thru where the rubber inlet stops.
I was going to get some Devcon to build it up but didn't want to buy a pound or 2 of it.
So I went hunting and found this. 2 oz of it. Oil and fuel proof. Good to 150c plus degrees. Win win. !

I have Devcon here, but JB has been proven to work just fine and is easier to work with IMHO.

This was easy to work with too, not too runny. These little tubes should last me a long while!

I have cylinders that are more than 1/10 JB Weld and have stood up for a few years of production cutting. The saw I use most right now has close to 2 tubes of JB Weld keeping it airtight at the transfer bulges, been running it now for 40+ tanks of fuel and its still airtight.

I have to imagine with the current advances in technology that they would have to of produced something better than jb weld by now, but then again were mostly talking about applications not involving bonding two parts together where it has to hold its own shape.

I have Devcon but its expensive, JB Weld is relatively cheap and does a good enough job. I have used the sticks of epoxy putty also as it can be shaped and will hold a shape til it hardens, then coat over it with JB Weld to seal it all up.

I also noticed the other day while at super cheap auto, that there was a good selection of permatex apoxy on offer

I have devcon type f that i used when i was bedding rifles into stocks, but for small amounts for chainsaw repairs, 50/50 mix ratios are easier than the devcon at 9:1 or something.

I am going to give the permatex ones a run
