OK, so just thinking about this product.Alumaloy. It appears to have good reviews. Has anyone tried this? So I was thinking if someone wanted to raise the compression of there saw, they could melt some of this onto the piston.Appears to work wonders on most aluminum products. From what I was able to understand it has a melting point of 850 degrees. From propellers, to ladders, boats, radiators. Anyway I was just wondering if anyone has used this. Ken

Seems to work well for many applications but a blob of it on the top of a piston would make me very nervous...

If I were to try it, I'd make it thin like a machined stock piston popup, as opposed to an 028 super style dome.

It looks interesting and the specs aren't too bad. The website lists the melting point as 728°f. I'm not sure if that's high enough to
withstand a working saw on a hot day.

I'd be tempted to try it in a cheap clamshell engine first to stress test it.

I don’t think it would work, aluminum melts at 1221°and two strokes run there best near the melting point, this was on bikes, but the good running bike can be 900°-1100° egt’s

Using it on the cylinder you may get away with, plenty of thermal mass/heat sinking and no vicious reciprocation trying to tear it off.
