A guy at church has an Alpina 0-70s. I'm sure someone here has info on them. Are parts hard to come by? He said it ran not too long ago but won't hit now. I'm sure fuel lines, impulse, etc are shot. Are carb kits available for these? What am I getting myself into, lol? He is supposed to bring it to me Saturday. Thanks in advance.

Fuel system was fairly easy to go through as I recall, as long as the saw has good spark, should be fairly straight forward to get running again. Here's one I repaired for a gentleman in east Tennessee that wanted his fathers saw to run again.

Let me know if you need any parts. I've got a few 070's on "the pile"

Wow that is a pile of them, what is the engine with the two big Mikuni slide valve carbs on it at the bottom of the pile? Snowmobile engine? I see a secondary cvt clutch in the pile too. Is it going to be the most awesome twin cylinder hot saw?:D

Nah, I wish I was that ambitious. The motor is out of a Polaris Indy 400. The plan is to convert an electric golf cart to gas, using that power plant and cvt setup run to a Jack shaft and a chain drive up to the gutted electric motor. . Hopefully this winter. Should be fun.

The cart is actually what's holding that pile up at the moment.

That should be a fun project! Those Indy 400’s where a hot little engine. I did an Yamaha enticer 250 swap into a Yamaha G1 golf cart. I lost reverse due to the golf cart engine being able to reverse the timing and run backwards. The enticer was a huge upgrade, we got it to run close to forty miles an hour!

Its a shame I am from Portugal, realy needed some parts for my Alpina 70 Pro

They are long gone now. I would've gladly shipped parts to portugal if I still had them. Good luck.
