You must know the Microns of the filter for know wich is better , you can know the microns only if the factory tell you or if you put the filter under of microscope.

Because I've never seen a 660,650,066; and because not everyone updates their websites as often as they could. I did notice that I says nothing one way or the other about the 661.

And I was unable to find any information on either side (confirming, or denying) of whether they would fit. I also thought someone might also suggest a different brand that they had used, and that worked for them.

Because the 661 is a newish saw and it might fit but the website hasn't been updated to reflect that fact and someone may be able to confirm it or not as the case may be.

The maxflo can fit on a 661 if you canabalize an HD filter and just put the foam element over the cage

Yeah, HD and HD2 are the same size, either will work. That being said I'd rather cut an HD2 apart

Yes it's an hd2, but it's a different design compared to the 066 style.

Same filter media as an HD2, but the 2 filters are not interchangeable

Yes they will, but you just need the foam, and air filter oil

A little filing and youre good to go J !
The MaxFlow seals all around, so you dont need that round seal at the bottom of the 661 air filter. You can also remove the filter media from an HD air filter, and keep the mesh screen, then slip the MaxFlow over that for an "on the cheap mod"
