I've ran dozens of gallons of mixed fuel through one doing personal milling and paid milling jobs. Didn't care for it AT ALL.
Stingy oiler(2-3 oz of oil per 16 ft rip. The vibrations were so horrific, it cracked a bar at the oiler hole. Any colder than 0 degress F., the AV mounts turned to stones. You couldn't even hold the darn thing. It had to go back to stihl to be retro-fitted with softer 084 AV mounts for our Alaskan temps. The ancient 084 AV mounts were a direct-swap.
Useless winter setting; The winter tab in the filter cover didn't correspond to any opening in the engine cover.
No low end torque, would bog to zero RPM's if the slab had large knots.
Positives:
Stylish, show-boy plastics. Gets Stihl fan boys all hot n bothered.
Outstanding resale value, which was most awesome when I got darn-near all my money back when I finally sold that pig adorned in creamsicle lipstick.
