661 Limit Tabs

Does anyone know how to remove the limiting tabs on these? Doesn't seem to have enough meat to get a drywall screw to pull the plastic piece away from the metal like on older saws. Is there a tool to use? Never had the red ones whip me like this.

Here's how I did it on my ms460

They do make a limiter cap removal tool. It just looks like a screwdriver with a fine threaded tip. Or you could try the cheaper route and try using a machine screw. The flat end may get you enough bite unlike the pointed end of a drywall screw.

second the machine screw idea.... also, there is a tab that should line up with that small slot to make it easier to pull off....
