Posting this on behalf of friend. Running our saws today bucking some logs and his AV spring on the side his handle busted off. Pretty surprised that it snapped the way it did but I noticed that under the mount, as you can see, it looks like a bumper should be there. Looks like if there was it would take more of the vibration away from being entirely on the spring. My 372xp doesn't have any type of bumper or extra hole there. Any input is appreciated. Sorry for the quality of the photo, it was while it was still in the woods.

Yes there is a limiter pin supposed to be there so the spring don't flex so far and break like it did. The 372's limiter is part of the gas tank, uses a different style than 576.

Have a part number or link to where to get the limiter pin?

Yeah I was able to see the screw and the nut that you gave me, much appreciated. But I didn't know if there was some other rubber bumper to go on the end of it into the rounded groove. Ir is the screw just to suppose to sit in there and rattle against the case? Seems like a weird design.

Yeah I checked it again and there is nothing but those two parts. My 576 just had those two parts from what I can remember too

I think since it's a smooth rounded end with no threads so it won't scratch up the case bad if it hits it from AV spring being pushed too far, it's meant to limit travel

I know it looks like there should be something in there too besides just the pin, but that is all my 576 has. Just the pin, and it can travel to the edges of the rounded groove.
