I finally got a 5200 again. I don't plan on letting this one go.....

The rope broke trying to get a compression test. Put a new one on and ended up with 186psi.

Yes Sir, I never seen one with a chain brake on it . The brake band is broken and it's looking like there about as easy to find as an hen tooth.
I just have to keep digging until I find one.
Might want to check with Mark.....(modifiedmark)

Does anyone have a source for ignition parts for a 5200?
I have a good, low hour one, with no spark.

There is a Dayton I have been eyeing at the local honey hole... What numbers should I look for and/or avoid? BTW, I am of '76 vintage as well...

I can double check for you in the morning, but I'm pretty sure I have brake bands in NOS...The brake kits were usually a Canadian thing.

There is a clutch cover with all brake parts on the bay for a 5400.
Are they the same? Type in Poulan 5400 brake and you will find it.

From what I can find, only the 4200 & 5200. I have no idea about the 5400.

I was searching my emails last night for someone's email and I ran across a email from a little over a year ago that somehow I never saw....

Someone with a 5200 that runs but is hard to start......... $25

I'm pissed at myself for missing that one

I just sold this one, yeah it ran very well and I still have a few sitting on the shelf. I just had the top cover off for the video.
