Sir Yes Sir, so is the 550 and 562.

They can all be aggravating if you don't know the quirks of a particular model.
Very true. I'm just not impressed with the build of the saw. The crankcase are laughable when they are stripped down.

I have never had to replace a broken case, they look and feel flimsy but are surprisingly tough. The engineers really did a good job finding a balance between light weight and strength.

The 346 has a following among saw users that is quite unique. I say get what you want but if it was me I'd get the 555/556. That saw is a great all round unit that is deserving of an XP badge. The 5 series are well designed saws that were unmatched in many ways until recently.
