I was having a bit of trouble getting the PTO side crank seal seated correctly on this saw, but I finally got that figured out.

This saw started as a scrap pile carcass, and I have fully gone through it.

Parts replaced/added:
- Bearings and seals (used wolf creek kit with NWP and SKF bearings)
- Base gasket deleted
- Blue HD AV suspension
- 044 muffler with dual port cover
- AM wrap handle and west coast clutch cover
- AM dogs and chain catcher
- Scrench holder
- New HD2 filter
- AM handle, but outfitted with OEM throttle linkage and cover, carb grommet, gas cap, tank vent, tank guard, stickers, etc
- Skid plate
- Elastostart

The thing has tons of compression - it just sits there on the pull cord.
Edit: tested at 150 psi here at 5300 ft, cold, in freezing temps. Should equate to roughly 175 at sea level. All prior to break in.

Asking $800 PHO plus shipping or $900 plus shipping with near-new 24" bar and Oregon EXL chain.

Would trade for a nice 288 or 372

UPDATE:

This saw has been a gremlin for me. See here:

I thought I had it figured out, only for it to start acting up again. I believe the issue is that there is an air leak due to a crack around the bearing seat on the clutch side case half. However, it doesn't show itself under a vacuum test, even when heated up with a heat gun.

I have a bunch of projects on my plate right now, and I would be willing to let it go as-is for what I have into it. At this point that is about $500. If you want it for $500 plus shipping, go ahead and take it. You might be able to fix it easily and get yourself a good deal.

Parts purchased:
100 - Saw carcass
60 - Plastics
45 - Bearings and seals (now has new OEM)
25 - 044 muffler with dual port cover
70 - AM wrap handle and west coast clutch cover
15 - AM dogs and chain catcher
15 - Scrench holder
25 - New HD2 filter
65 - AM handle, rubber bits
20 - Skid plate
25 - Elastostart
20 - Seals and gasket

Not fixed yet, trying a few things today. If I can't figure it out very soon, then it will be for sale as is.
