I bought a 462 Arctic from Canada about a year ago, handles didn’t get very warm from the beginning and now no heat at all. Looked the wires over, there was a one place insulation was rubbed through but wire seemed fine. Tightened all the ground connections. It was a half wrap handle saw converted to 3/4 R model if that makes any difference. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

I was wondering. Know a way to test it?

You will need two things, the repair manual for the specific model saw you are working on and an ohm meter. It's as easy as following along the directions, setting your meter to the right value and taking a reading for each individual component, if the value is the same as in the book, that component will work, if not, not. Wiring harness should have a zero value on all wires. Once all components check out properly it will put out heat like it's supposed to, I have never seen one that hasn't, whether it be Stihl, Husqvarna or Jonsered, it's all the same process.
