I wouldn't mind trying a 461 for kicks and tickles. But with a good 372, 9010 and eventually either a ported 390xp or one of Randy's 665/7910s, it wouldn't serve much purpose...

I have a 461 bone stock and have been very happy with it. It has awesome torque and is a lot more fuel efficient than my 2171. I'm no Stihl fan by any means either. But I really enjoy running my 461 in any conditions I deal with

I timed masterminds video of the 461 in the same wood as the others including the solo and it was neck and neck with that solo time wise extremely impressed mastermind has that 461 figured out for sure!

I don't have a 461 but I do own a dandy 046 Mag and use either a 25" or 28" bar with it most of the time. Now and then I mount a 32" on it. I might sell it after I can no longer cut wood with anything. If it dies before I do, I'll resurrect it.

What I run at work when I cut veneer logs and such. Cuts well but the vibration gets to my hands after an 10-20 minutes of cutting. I like the ported 460 the best, then the stock 461, and then stock 460. All three saws have a lot of tanks through them.
