Compression is pretty good :)

Running to some tuneability issues.
20180507_202815.jpg

Saw is running slobbering rich its weird. L is at 1.5_2 turns to idle at 1 turn its pinngy and lean doest want to idle.

H is .5 turn out about all the way seated is were it cleans out.

I have a carb on the way in mean tim i may play with the metering lever.

Ive had alot of saws lean due to seals and lines but never rich.
Im trying to decide if i lean or richn on the metering valve.
Carb is walbro off a logger saw i had in passed only one i had left so theres probly a reason i have it.

I do have a carb off a 066 ive been i also have spare tank thinking about cutting out a carb mount flange that is adjustable for 44/46 carb mounting point angle and 66 angle that way lines will hook up easy and point needles in right direction to be able to tune carb.

It does cut well but isnt cleaning out. Ive yet to cut anything substantial. The two trees in background are slated to go. Hooing to not have to use my 026 on them

Thanks deets.

Arm is right at flush but button on diapfram and arm have weat grrove in them

My thinking is raising the metering srm will make it meter how it did before the wear this will cause the low to be leaned.
I think the low circuit is fueling into 3/4 throttle pretty hard
Die to being way out to maintain idle and run.

I bought a hd17 rebuild parts today.

Im realy wanting to build a 046 now. And i dont even have this finished.

Also lookinh into advancing timing 02 or 025 but ive never done it file one side of key way.

I play with carb tonight and hepefully have it running as it should

Picked up another project. Also picked up some tree jobs last summer so it ws easy to grab this xpw when I saw it. The 372 has been one of my favorites.

It had 34" on but I love 28s and had this 28" on passed 372.
Saw runs with no leaks but it's a xpw so . I tore it down
Raised transfers and am talking with big blue alittle on volumes and such I've made gains or already screwed up lol.
I havent r20200119_085141.jpg an it so I have nothing to base gains off of. But I'm thinking it's going to run decent.

Also still have a pile of 440 064 046 parts. But let's not mention those for awhile.

Tried to add 372xpw to thread title but couldn't.

Spent a couple hours chamfering port matching and finishing last night.

Got here together fires right up revs quick for running on who knows what mix I just dumped oil in tank added gas and mixed in th saw.

Seems to be alot snappier than stock

Will get it in wood before I run it anymore. Usually I get rid of the blue coil but will try and tune this one.

372 has been doing quite abit of cutting so ive fekt I needed to get the dang 44 project going.

44/064 ended up being a flop.

Shes up as a 46 and running well, alittle ported and alittle bit tight squished with gasket. Pulls pretty good for alittle saw.20230110_171109.jpg 20230109_233907.jpg 20230110_163453.jpg

Been playing with different mufflers and pipes lately

I've got an 044/46 hybrid I built as well...one of my stronger running saws. Right now it has a 460 piston, but I've got an 064 piston that I'll eventually machine into a domed piston for it. I reached my limitations of what I could do with the 460 piston, it's on the verge of freeporting.
