@Philbert have you ever tried the husky sharpforce, kinda like the 2n1?
Just to clarify, which file guide: the Husky SharpForce?I bought a couple of those for chainsaw class , new users had difficulty setting them up. To much hand pressure made the file pop out also. Just fyi
Im sorry Philbert , I should've clarified that I free hand.Just to clarify, which file guide: the Husky SharpForce?
Thanks.

There’s plenty of videos on YouTube just search chainsaw filing or sharpening, but the best thing is to experience it urself and learn for ur mistakes and progress as you get more time on the filing. There sure is a lot to know about chain sharpening. Can anyone recommend a video on chain sharpening?
Right. The biggest thing that confused me when I first started sharpening chain was the file doesn’t really fit the tooth when you start on a new chain.
Dolmar, Makita, Oregon, Husqvarna specify a 5.5mm file for full chisel 3/8" chain.once a dealer gave me a 5.5mm file for a 3/8 chain later when I told him it was too thick he got offended ;-)
