so I got a used 394 XP. It was minus s break lever and bucking spikes. I got a wrap kit and discovered that it was for a 390. The bucking spikes don’t want to fit on the OEM replacement side cover. Was there that much difference between the 2 saws?

394/5 is physically quite a bit bigger than a 390.

Most dealers have the full wrap kit including spikes for $30-40

It has a wrap. Just need spikes. However, I may replace wrap so it looks newer.
