This saw was abused. It has an air leak between the crank and the clutch side bearing. I can turn the crank and watch it go past the inner race. Sometimes they move together. Haven't torn it down yet. Am I looking at a new bearing or would a crank go bad as well?

You may get lucky and a new bearing will fit tight. If not you'll need a new crank and bearing or loctite the bearing on the crank and hope for the best.

The anarobic Loctite that I'd use on the cylinder base?

I just had a 395 that spun the inner race....the crank was shiny :( tossed the crank...new bearings slide on :(

I could consider loctite 600 between the outer race and the case....but I'm not sure it's a good idea against a crank.

If you need 385 tips...I have some 385 vids on my youtube channel
