So I was tightening the bar on 372 xt today and one of the bolts broke off pretty much flush with the outside cover. Not enough bolt left to get a nut started. How involved is it to replace the bolt? Thanks.
Those bolts go in from the oil tank. Use a punch and tap it into an empty oil tank and then fish it out. Replace with a new bolt. I use a big set of hemostats to get it started in the hole and to keep the square back straight into the slot. Then add some washers and a nut and pull the new stud out.So I was tightening the bar on 372 xt today and one of the bolts broke off pretty much flush with the outside cover. They are in the mail. Above is correct, long side parallel with bottom of case. Long pair of forceps (aka hemostats) is a must have chainsaw tool.pm sent. Thanks so much Duce...
