(Hi .... I'm the voice of 'what if' in the back of the room) ..... I'd LOVE to see a stock comparison between a 346XP, an MS260 and a Shindaiwa 488.

Yup, really.

Neither one of these saws are mine. Lol
I did port both of them.
Did anybody time it and see?

As the rpm's go up the 346 will get farther ahead I believe.
I'll get a tank through the 026 tomorrow and run them at 15500 or so

What kind of wood is that in the video? Poopoo wood? It just crumbles.

Both saws are rippin' by the way. I have a 260 and 2 346s (ported by Terry, Dozer Dan, and Scott, respectively). I love all of them. I have never timed them but my 260 seems to run with both of them no problem. I used to call my 260 "the show stopper". I had it long before the others and people I was cutting with always stopped and turned to watch it cut. It was my first ported saw and it ruined me. It is dead nuts reliable too.

Yes poo pool,
It's hot and that crap was close to the shop so that's what we get.
Comparing 2 saws with the same bar and chain will work if your cutting foam.

Sweet thread!!! I like a light weight saw. I also like to see cuts in oak. That is what I have to cut. Most is dead, and hard as Kelsey's nuts... whatever that means?? (something my wife's stepmom used to say) Seriously, you can see sparks fly if you cut near nightfall. If I have to cut pine, it's because the damn thing blew over into my field :cursing:
