Welp, the guy who I'm building this for may or may not chime in here... but ya'll know him
He sent me an oe 346xp that was trashed. I've taken the vid of the teardown, and I've decided to split the case too, because I noticed the main bearing has a nylon keeper... instead of metal. Spike60 is sending me the necessary oem parts.
Stay tuned for the vids... hopefully I can have the teardown vids up soon.
BUT ...... BUT BUT BUT.. .. noticed something interesting. I have a hyway 45mm cylinder, and a meteor piston. Put it on the saw, with the gasket, stock. The piston skirt HITS the chassis. Because its an oe? is the chassis SLIGHTLY smaller? Anyway, found this interesting. I will be putting the chassis on the bridgeport to deck it by .025. This will optimize squish. But I guess I also need to take the dremel to the crankcase to make a tiny bit of clearance for the piston. Again, stay tuned for the vid.
