So I contacted @Mastermind about purchasing a carb that's been converted to be adjustable on the high side for 3120XP. I did so because it was my understanding he knew and performed the process.
I'm considering buying a new 3120XP, but it's a no go without a fully adjustable carb.
The boss says he's too busy to do the conversion himself, so on his recommendation I'm opening a thread to those he said he has trained to do the conversion.
I need an idea of the carb cost, and
if there are install issues.
Is it a new carb purchase or a core swap deal from the new saw?
It's a new saw I'm looking at , so I want a new carb.
On another subject, is the 272 coil a direct swap to get away from the limited coil? Is there a better black coil to use?
And approximately what would a safe max no load be for this saw?
Not even sure I'm buying the new saw, but without a fully adjustable carb I know I'm not.
I'm open to hearing from those with the carb conversion skills I don't have.
