I was talked into getting a 3/8lp .050 over the .043 picco because I would get more chain life.
I know out of the box the .050 did not impress me. Hopefully a sharpening will smooth this out. I fear my 192 just doesn't have the power to pull it we will see. What do you think?

050 will be fine on a 192t, I run it with a 22cc Makita TH saw & it cuts well. There can be some advantage in running 043 in lo output saws and pole saws due to its narrow kerf. Better chain options in 050 with VXL & PS chisel chain. Trade offs with both gauges I suppose.

Well I took some time with the vxl today. One side of the cutters where longer then the other. I just took the one side down and it smoothed out a bit and is usable. I am sure after the next sharpening it will be great. I am thinking about running a .020 depth guage, any thoughts on that?

i prefer 63pm over 91vxl and .50 over .43 because .43 chain is crap and doesn't last long.

Everyone says the .43 doesn't last but I am not dissatisfied with the results I get. But I am sure I will get an even longer life with the vxl, or ps
