261cm and 400c

Hey ladies and gents

First off been a closet reader for quite some time but just made my account , however what I am wondering as I'm just getting into modding chainsaws, little Chinese 2500 that's a ripper now. I have a 261 and 400, the 400 has mm and bark box, 261 just has mm. How much would the benefit from the timing being advanced? I have searched with and without advanced seen some posts that were older but no real answer. I don't really want to file the key ways if they don't benefit from it. Thanks in advance

Both of those saws benefit from timing advance. Move the outer edge of the flywheel about 1/4" counterclockwise.

Thank you mastermind. I'll get to them tomorrow. Tree removal on Monday so I'll be able to test them out then
