Price dropped to $675. That's below retail and shipping is on me for the 241's.

I found a non MT 462 if you are interested.

After reading about the running change to the 462 I would want to get one of the “improved” versions. Stihl made the change in April and the serial # break was 190015190. Do you happen to know the serial # of this particular saw? I’m assuming 462s destined for USA vs the rest of the world would be built on the same line and numbered together.

It's not in my hands at the moment. I'll give a call to my dealer tomorrow and see what the build date and serial number are.

Here's a pic from our Stihl site....241's are going for 750 Euros right now without shipping. That's about $900 inflated doll hairs and another $100 for shipping.

Stupid question from a Stihl illiterate here. Are these M-Tronic or regular adjustable carb?

M-Tron, Sondre. That "C" was thrown around by Stihl quite a bit on earlier small saws. Iirc it was for the tool-less chain adjust on some previous models.

Thanks Dan. I was expecting to see an M there, so thanks for clearing that up. I do have a thing for the 40cc class…

These are a dandy saw. I run one regularly and climb with it too. A lot friendlier on the body than most 50cc saws, but can still handle the work load.
