I Purchased what I am Pretty Certain is a 1991 Year 31St Week of Manufacture Husqvarna 55 Model Saw. I'm not sure if this Particular Model Originally came with a Closed or Open Port Cylinder. This saw was Puking a significant amount of Chain Oil out around the Seal behind the Bar Guide so I disassembled this Saw to check Internal Components. Decided to replace Crank Bearings as well as Seals. When I removed the Open Port Cylinder I notice the Lip which Protrudes from the Bottom of the Cylinder between the Open Ports on one Side was Broken but there was No Metal in Crank and it doesn't Appear to Have any Blow By around the Cylinder Gasket. Can Someone advise how to Pressure Test the Crankcase. I did Purchase new bearings and Seals from Amazon or Flea Bay and really don't want to Waste the Money on buggering up these New Bearings and Seals. The Existing Cylinder has the Numbers EM5036079 01 and looks like 46 in Marked on the Top of the Cylinder near the Threaded Spark Plug Hole. Measured Piston 90 Degree from Piston Pin Hole & it comes out at 45.91mm and Piston has Part # 046020 on the inside of the Piston & 2811 on the Other side of the Inside of the Piston, Also has 45.937 on Top of the Of the Piston. Measured Cylinder at Base to 45.96mm. Could anyone tell me if there are any Decent Cylinders either NOS or Good used around and a Piston and Ring Possibly. Also, from the Pictures, can anyone Advise if the Cylinder I have showing the Broken Lip at the Base would be OK or Not
