I think B&S is just moving that line to another plant here in the states. It's also not the first time they have threatened to close it.

Been meaning to restore this Tecumseh tank one day..
Pulled it out for a look today on picking it up I felt it weighed heaps so had to weigh it?
OMG it's 26 pounds with no fuel!
I weighed one of my Stihl 088 chainsaws with bar and chain it came in at 28 pounds with no fuel or oil lol
I can only imagine how bad it would be for the new age guy's that weigh things by the grams now days, they would passout on picking up this old school weedeater! lol there wife would have to bring em a glass of milk! Haha..

There is also a hedge trimmer attachment for both saws also ht150 and ht200.

Here's another one I rebuilt/restored few years ago a early 80's Victa Mustang 160cc.
I cleaned the ports up and put a high compression head on it a nice running mower.

That semi knifedge crank looks like a bullet. I really like the hollow rod pin too, that would be a big $$$ crank in the auto world. That happened is one sexy piece if steel. Nice, very nice.

Nice heavy crank as well hard to stall when wound up. They went to alloy conrods in the later 160 full crank engine's.

Giving my old Tecumseh brushcutter a good going over is nothing flash I just want to get it up and running again so I can use it.
Is a well made engine with crankcase reed induction.
I can't find much about it (nothing actually) out there on the net.
I don't know how many cc it is? but it has a big piston for a brushcutter and a nice heavy crank and clutch! should smash it's way through stuff without bogging well good! Lol

Got the Tecumseh weedy done should be a good machine with plenty of power for clearing a firebreak around my place..
I found a clearing blade in me junk for it gave it a quick sharpen it will do for a test but the teeth need swaging and set with the cutting edges so worn down I'll do that later..
Should cut down decent size saplings? will get a vid of it working after I get it running good and tuned it's a monster not for the faint of heart that's for sure.

1st start up the tune is way out but it didn't take many pulls to start ya can't beat the old stuff made to last I'll get many more years of hard work out of it!...

Cost wise I paid $5 for it.
I used a tin of white spray paint and some cheap degreaser and a few odds and ends I had laying around.
I have less than $30 in it and a few hrs of my time well worth it if you ask me I could knock on 20 thousand plus doors and wouldn't find another one...
