181 cylinder plating

So iam trying to find a good cylinder for a customer’s 281 and have a whole bunch of 181’s. Found a decent one, but i noticed on all the 181’s the plating looks different, the 181s have the Gilardoni cylinder.
They have a bit of a speckled look and different color to em, hard to explain and hard to see on pics. Anyone run into this as well?

Pretty typical look for a low hours chrome plated bore.

well the owner deceided he wanted a complete Meteor kit instead of used oem cylinder/meteor piston, so dont need to worry about that....

I'd much rather run the oem cylinder.

Especially being a 181 with a good chamber, couldn’t trade me 5 meteors for that.
