Man I feel like an idiot. I'm trying to figure out which direction an OEM husqvarna fuel line goes in this 288/181 tank. One end is chubbier than the other. Its their proprietary line, and I assume the chubby end goes into the tank, and the skinnier end I pull through from inside the tank to the outside... yes, no?

5014265 is the number on the fuel line. I've tried to pull it through but it won't go. The tank opening is 7.2mm. I had to open it to 21/64 before it would actually accept the line. Now it's in an solid.

There goes 30 min :(

It seems like there is a newer tank that takes a different vent and standard fuel line. Could be wrong though

Nope you are correct, newer tank takes pig tail fuel line, you can use a grommet from a 455 rancher to put the pig tail on the older tanks also
Nice trick on using the grommet when that pesky proprietary line can’t be found. Now that I think about it, the tank on my 288 uses pigtail fuel line...duh!
