Finally got to watch the first couple minute lol,

As suggested, I wuld try giving the 421 a bit more fuel on the H.

Keep it set around 13k most likely won't happen again.

This is good advice I got mine running at 13000 max I would defiantly keep the 421 a little on the fat side my everyday 421 is far from stock with a empty can muffler
And I can see inside the muffler and when doing everyday tree work sure it's a little damp in there , but once you cut up something big it's all burnt away
But Iam never into a saw screaming it's nuts off Iam happy with the 9000 - 10000 rpm loaded down eating wood like it's going out of fashion

If fattening the H mixture doesn't help a tank vent might be the issue , might be just borderline restricted.
Just a thought.....

Isn't this a fairly new saw?
I doubt it's a tank vent unless you cut with the chain on backwards or stone dull, creating dust not chips.

Ya the 421 is only a few months old. And probably less then 15 tanks maybe 20. But like I said it also happens on the 6100 just so rarely that it is much to worry about. I have taken both saws to supper fat and then slowly leaned them back up. The 421 fell into a good Grove at 13,140.
I cut with it a bit this morning while getting things together to roast coffee this afternoon.

This is perfectly normal for the 6100 & 421. As they break in their awesomeness increases and they break through the limiter, no ignition module can hold them back! The awesome factor increases with the use of Red Armor.....a dangerous combination for sure. If they continue to 'break the rules' sit them on the ground and pour beer on them to cool them off.:pesas:
Reported - beer wastage crimes

I know it's almost new but sometimes new doesn't mean everything is right .
Like I said the first time , just a thought........
