1128 Series Month

So, here is a pic of a 044 Tank Vent I just replaced. It has seen better days! Guy was using it out of a bucket and said it was leaking gas.

Replaced it with a AM tank vent made for an 029 that I had on hand. The filter is larger, and the hose a bit longer, but I installed it inboard from the original and wrapped the hose around like a French Horn. Seems to be working well!

So I'll ask a better question,
What parts are you reusing?

Was it as bad as that 1st 044 I sent you? [emoji8]

I was able to reuse most of the screws....

I'd say that would be great. I get two rebuilds out of a tank of Mean Green.....so it would get pricey refilling one that big.

A regular parts washer makes sense at this point.

Im thinking I need both but never used an ultrasonic cleaner. Can u throw a caked up crankcase in there and it comes out sparkling clean? Can water and Dawn be used in it?

Yes & Yes

I use Dawn dish soap.
Won't harm or discolor aluminum like degreasers will.

I use 40:1 soap. A little bit better than the 50:1 stuff.
