Yes, the bottom of the skirt opens the intake.
Thanks, but I'm now confused regards the inlet, but that's probably because the action there is controlled by the skirt, not the crown and that's what confusing me. I guess I need to make a degree wheel up and prove it to myself!
thanks again
I was just about to post, and the dogs are going crazy, and guess what is in my driveway, a guy with a foreign 660!!!
First thing I did is check the P&C. Porting on this one looks perfect! The squish band has a very slight irregularity that made minor marks on the top of the piston, but overall it looks great, I may not touch the ports!
Anyway, I was going to post, so case compression will be determined by when the intake closes and before the upper transfer opens, right?
The trick I was gonna show y'all will have to wait a few hours. Doing an emergency job. Amazingly folks around here think I can fix anything. lol
I usually doTech tip off the day. When people show up unannounced answer the door naked.
I forgot. ...Which one did you say mine was?
Ha ha! I do tend to want to know the precise details of everything, yes - well spotted! But yeah I'm getting my head around it now, and as said earlier will sort out a degree wheel rig soonish and prove it all to myself. Thanks again for your time.....and patienceYou're just making it more complicated than it has to be. At 80° before, or after TDC, the skirt of the piston is even with the floor of the intake port.......
How do you take out the extra material inside the muffler? Same as the porting tool? File?
