Depends on what "pre cylinder clip on style" means.

Me and Google search don't know what that means either.
The crank case in the pics is either a 088 or ms 880 . I trying to figure out if the crank case will need the clip on style muffler cylinder or the bolt on style muffler

The case is different where the muffler mounts.

I've never treid swapping them before. Somebody with more knowledge on the subject will need to chime in.

Can a cylinder swap work for a bolt style muffler or would the case be to diffrent
From what I could find, the case for bolt on mufflers doesn't provide clearance for clip on mufflers. Bolt on may work on both cases, clip on won't.

Could be wrong. First time for everything.

Awesomeness. Thanks for the help. There has to be a way for sure. I did see a fella on a video that went from a clip on style muffler cylinder and swaped cylinder and was abel to use a bolt on muffler. But he used farmtec cylinder. I'm not gonna use that stuff

Assuming the cylinder to case bolt pattern is the same, it should work. Bolt on muffler could probably be massaged to clear the case if it doesn't already. I'd wager that it does clear. There's a pic of the front of that case in the advert. It has mounts for the clip on muffler that aren't there on cases made for bolt on.

The “clip on” muffler requires two short vertical supports from the case to the front of the muffler. I can’t see the front of the case (below muffler) to tell if it’s drilled and tapped for the supports. If it’s drilled it’s a “clip on “ case.
