Does any one know if part number 1124 121 5604 fixed jet 1.04 is press in or threaded. I want to put it in a ht5 that's has a press in fixed jet that is going to go on my 880. The ht 5 has a .94 fixed jet that maybe enough jet for an 880. I would think the morefuel the better.

I think based on some internet searching and pictures that tillotson switched from a press in fixed jet to a screw in fixed jet. There maybe a bigger press in fixed jet but tillotsons part description are about worthless to try and figure anything out.

Jets: (not all are available in all countries)
.46 = 1121 121 5601
.52 = 1121 121 5602
.56 = 1120 121 5600
.61 = 1123 121 5601
.62 = 1122 121 5603
.64 = 1122 121 5604
.66 = 1128 121 5605
.68 = 1128 121 5603
.70 = 1128 121 5602
.72 = 1122 121 5602
.74 = 1122 121 5607
.76 = 1128 121 5604
.88 = 1124 121 5609
1.04 = 1124 121 5604

Carburetors with fully adjustable fuel mixture screws:
044/046/MS440/MS460 = 1128 120 0624 with .70 jet
064/066/MS650/MS660 = 1122 120 0621 with .64 jet

Dual port muffler covers:
044/046/MS440/MS460 = 1128 140 0801
064/066/MS650/MS660 = 1122 140 0800

Looks like they're threaded, but I'm guessing

Let me get to my IPL and notes today. The 088 carb [Tilly] is a screw in jet. I put an 088 carb and intake on an 880. I ground the floor out of the intake leaving timing alone. It got a 361 coil. Opened the stainless muffler up. With a stock 1.04mm jet it is pig rich and miserable. Swapped to a 1.0mm high altitude and its still rich but better. High side 1/8 out.

If you 880 is otherwise stock or close to it..be weary of changing to a bigger jet as it may not net you what you want.

Ok thanks for the help. Found out from Tillotson that .94 is the biggest for a ht5. They also told me that with a press in jet you can usually only change them once before they leak around the bore of the jet. I went ahead and ordered a HT 12 because you have more flexibility with set sizes.

Are you not able to tune it with the jet that's in it?

I am getting the HT 12 from @fordf150 . They are pretty expensive. I have not tried the carb out yet. I got it years ago as a spare for for my 084. I want to use it now on my 880 . I have found that the jets installed from the factory are not always the best. Sometimes you need to go bigger and sometimes smaller.

Also got some more information on the jets available for the ht-12 or any HT carb with screw in jet. Tillotson has jets that range from 0.50mm to 1.07mm. I got part numbers from 0.90 to 1.00.

Jet Size. Number.

0.90mm 49-B26

0.92mm 49-B27

0.94mm 49-B28

0.96mm 49-B29

0.98mm 49-B30

1.00mm 49-B31

These go up in steps of 0.02.

Part numbers are only half the battle. Its damn near impossible to order them. I would take an 0.96 if I could get one. 1.04 was huge... 1.00 starting to be able to tune the high but still fat...1/8 turn out is where it is set.
