066 coil question

Hello all, I recently got an 066 red light that the seller said was all original and that it ran. He showed me it ran but the light didn’t light up. I still traded for it but when I got home I found it did not have the original coil on it. It also has a flywheel with two key ways marked 1122 400 1209. I have researched and researched and to be honest am still confused why it has 2 timing key slots. I also would like to know if I did find an original coil would I be able to use this flywheel and it run properly? Maybe just move the flywheel over into the other slot. My other problem is obviously finding the original coil as I cannot find one. This saw is in immaculate shape for its age, very little use. I would really like to get it back original. If it has the two keyways on the flywheel, you can use the 0000 400 1300 universal coil with slot "X" I believe (if the slots are marked "B" and "X" or "P" and "X").

The 1122 400 1209 number is the part number for the flywheel. Part number for the original Red-Light coil is 1122 400 1307. Original working red-light coils are getting hard to come by - They have a habit of "browning out" or failing completely.

Thanks for your help. My flywheel does not have those letter markings, it just says “warning.” I will look into that forum again thanks!

Good luck and if you find one that works odds are it wouldn’t reach proper max rpm anymore.
