Just finished my 066. That I ripped the spike off of last year. Had @srcarr52 weld the upper case hole for the spike back in. Then sent the cases, recoil and sprocket cover to @Glock37 for powder. Still need to take it out and set the tune. I think it turned out ok. IMG_0765.JPGIMG_0766.JPGIMG_0767.JPGIMG_0769.JPG

Looks good man giving me some ideas for my 044. Was going to repaint in the original white but I'm having second thoughts now

Here is some others that I have done. I really liked the polished case one I did just could not get the clear coat to hold up. I would recommend that you look into powder coating as it is far more durable then re painting. Have tried it both ways and painting looks great until you use it and the paint chips off.IMG_0283.JPG

Those two saws are no longer that color. I painted them both at the time one black and the other clear coated neither lasted for very long so i got them powdered. I don't think there is a clear powder coat but maybe I am wrong, if there is I would love to do another polished case they look great and are a great conversation starter.

Pretty sure a clear coat in powder is doable? A buddy had an old willys body powdered amd thought i remember him saying the place did 2 coats of color and 1 clear. @Glock37

There is a clear powder

I couldnt think about how much labor too polish a case after blasting

The oxidation under some factory powder is black we see it when blasting how would u polish it after blasting all the nooks and crannies

Very cool looking saws jason

Glad i could help

I used a mothers powerball and cone with there mag and aluminum polish. I did not worry about all the nooks and crannies. Just the main parts that you see. Does the powder need a rough texture to stick properly?
