Exactely !If you can get the more power out of the same sized saw why the hell not....
Just because you havent read or heard anything other than speculation on it doesnt mean that a few talented saw dudes havent figured it out. Some extremely skillfull guys dont even post much if anything at all.I have yet to read or hear of anything other than speculation. Some say the case is uneven, some say after the base is machined thinner, some say they just break.
Not quite sure what heta is but I know it comes with heat.Saw the first advertisement for one today, 12900kr with heta, about 1600 bucks. A 562xpg is 8000kr only about a grand...![]()
Nobody's holding any secrets back bub. The only wheel spinning going on here is me wondering why you're acting like this is rocket science.Just because you havent read or heard anything other than speculation on it doesnt mean that a few talented saw dudes havent figured it out. When cutting the base to drop the cylinder, running a gasket would cause one to machine more off the base, making the base even thinner, and those gasketed ones arent breaking.
Let your wheels spin, whether you're on blacktop or ice is up to you Jim ..........
Cash or charge?I'll take 3
Umm, noNobody's holding any secrets back bub. The only wheel spinning going on here is me wondering why you're acting like this is rocket science.
I guess I better go sit back on the porch and let the big boys play... right? Lol
I was hoping you'd be a little less vague with your original comment about the gasket delete for those who are trying to have a better understanding why. It has nothing to do with me and I implied that it was my question which was misleading.Umm, no
It’s not rocket science, and I don’t act
Truthfully, I’d prefer it if you don’t just sit on the porch. You’re a talented guy and the choice is yours, I didn’t allude to anything Jim, I thought that I was pretty clear
Is that saw black? Think I may have ran itMy 361 has a base delete/ muff mod / timing advance/ 039 carb modded to fit / 460 oiler woods ported intake and exhaust / i also took the plastic horn off and cut down and up and cut it off so she pulls more air instead of thru those little green windows
Nice saws! Which is your pick and why? Thanks
I'd venture that in soft wood my mofo 036 would assert considerable authority with a 28". It'd be very usable in hardwood also, but I think it'd need the oiler mod.
It's a bit of a moot point in my opinion, just because if I need a saw with a 28" bar, a 60cc (no matter which) isn't gonna be my go to. My 036 is very impressive and fun to run, but being a compact little power house, I like a short bar for limbing and bucking hardwood while grinning ear to ear.
I have some big ash that I'll be cutting in the coming weeks. I'll the take my 28" bar off my 7900 and give it a whirl on the 036. I've got full comp, and semi skip RS and full skip Oregon full skip. Any suggestions?
Ryan, imma gonna suggest that bar swap won't work WO an adaptor....![]()
No its her red headed sister done by bubba same way lolIs that saw black? Think I may have ran it
