036 Pro Leaking Oil

As the title states.
036 Pro leaking bar oil when I store it for a few days or weeks.
Can this be fixed?

Often its the vent under the bar cover goes bad. Fairly cheap easy to replace. Empty oil tank , press or tap it out and carefully press or tap in the new 1.
Could be leaking through the oil pump and it needs replaced or have a crack in the tank and seeping out. If unsure what is causing it , start with the easy cheap.

How much oil are you talking? Quarter size spot, paper plate, 5 gallon top?

You need to figure out where is leaking first.

Could be leaking where the oil pump and pick up hose come together, if it is you could put a little sealant on the hose where it meets the case and some where it meets the oil pump.

Normally when there’s an oil leak, the easiest way to find it when there is already a lot of oil and sawdust around. Is to clean like it’s new first and then follow the oil trail back.

on my 036 I had an oil leak, it turned out to be the worn shaft or brass bushing in the pump and it was leaking and being thrown around by the worm gear
It was apita taking off the clutch to clean it all up then only to use it for a few hrs and have to take it a part and inspect it. It took me a few goes to be sure I was correct in what I found..

If the tank is full, it will leak a puddle about 5 or 6 inches across, overnight. I'm off work for Easter break for the next 5 days, will look in to this a bit closer.
