028 wb issues

Ok so got this saw which I haven't todn all the way down yet but figured it needed a fuel line and carb rebuild. Started right up idles fine but when you go to rev it up it chokes down for a moment like it's flooding and then just takes off and will try to rev to the moon. Checked intake boot and didnt pressure test but when rolled on either side while running it doesn't rev like the crank seals are leaking. Will sit and idle forever. I'm scratching my head tried playing with the high speed adjustment and no matter how rich you turn it the same thing happens. Will post a video in a moment. Any thoughts or ideas?

Also if you hold it at half theottle it will four stroke and act completely normal as if it's at wide open throttle.

The screen filter in the carb might be plugged

I’d be replacing the impulse and fuel hose.
Definitely a lean condition happening there

I have an 028 Super that was showing similar symptoms. It ended up being the fuel line.

It had gotten soft. It would allow enough fuel to idle, but would collapse when revved up.

I did replace the fuel line pulled carb back apart and realized the metering lever needed adjusted finally revs out but still not 100 percent. The impulse line I didn't change.

Well ended up tearing saw down to nothing but the crankcase to check both seals and make sure bearings were tight and then reassembled used motoseal instead of gasket cleaned everything up and reassembled I'm wondering if it was either leaking around the base gasket or the intake boot may not have been tight enough. So after all that the saw runs like a top now.
