Not sure, I've never had any luck finding one; had to buy a scrap saw just for the muffler but also ended up with other parts also.

I’m looking for a stock one, aftermarket, or modded. I just need one. Don’t want to pay $45-50for a stihl

Good luck. I can't say I've ever seen a aftermarket 028 muffler and thats probably why the used oem ones go for a premium.

You can use the muffler from the regular 028av. Old 1 has the exhaust in front, newer on the side.

Found this info on a German site.

Seems like some time back I matched a 028 gasket to a muffler that I found on another saw....took about 20 off before I finally matched it...I'm not 100% sure what model I took it off of but I will look in my pile and see if I can rematch a gasket to a cylinder from somethin' thats stihl in the pile to see what I took that muffler from...no promises but an attempt!, Kev
