Working on an 028 Super. Needs a fuel hose. My local Stihl dealer says it’s NLA (I like to run OEM fuel hoses). Went to my next favorite source, HLSProParts and they do not offer a fuel hose for the 028 which I found disappointing and kinda shocking to be honest. A quick Google search led me to FarmerTec which looked great until it showed 12-25 day shipping.. I’m not waiting that long - SO, is there an alternative fuel hose I could slip into this saw without modification? Exp: from an 034/036 etc..??

Find a good plentiful Stihl integrated grommet fuel line that works.
Drill a hole that accepts said grommet.
I use Stihl integrated fuel lines on my Shindaiwa saw.
Prolly the best quality fuel lines on the planet IMHO.

That should work great! On the 024 and early 026's they used a skinny fuel line. The later is larger. I use a 7/16" drill bit and drill them out to use the larger line. It pops right in! Maybe try that?

Sorry, No alternative suggestions. I've been using NOS and good used. The aftermarket stuff doesn't last. Wondering just how close the 034, 036 hoses would be?

I’ve heard they are similar in grommet size but possibly longer, which is fine as long as it doesn’t kink. But I don’t have any to compare and also don’t want to buy a bunch of fuel lines to repair this saw unless it’s a last resort. Hoping someone can verify?

I haven't tried this but I would be tempted to try to convert it to the MS660 style fuel hose. 1124 358 7700 and 1122 353 2600 then whatever length of quality fuel hose to the carb.

The 026 straight line might work, but they suck to work with. Older 036 used same line.

I’d personally use the newer MS260 S shaped line and drill the tank to accept it. Makes fuel filter swaps easy peasy.

The straight line plain old sucks IMHO.
