Just an fyi…early, and possibly later 066s were matched pairs so getting just one side is a complete crap-shoot as far as matching goes. .020-.030 mismatch of the deck is common. I don’t know about the 660s.

I found this out the hard way. There is actually a fair amount of info on this here and on AS.
Husqvarna never had issues…only Stihl.

Not all of the earlier Stihls have the issue but it was more prevalent with the saws made in the 1980s-late 90's. The 660s and subsequent large Stihls have less of an issue with it. Squish clearances had more variance in the same era of saws as well. It was pretty routine to see one 044 with .025" and another in the same batch with .035".
