Thanks a million. I have exposed the track on the circuit board. I did not proceed as I saw no way of removing the capacitor. I have now seen your photos and description and it all seems plain sailing. See progress so far. Interesting if you remove the woodruff key you can spin the shaft easily...
I had the same difficulty. I made a plate with 4 holes matching the 4 screws in the flywheel. In the centre I drilled and tapped a hole and screwed a 3/8 fine threaded bolt in. Fixing the 4 screws to the flywheel and placing a soft piece of copper or brass under the central screw and tightening...
It is a totally Bosch setup, all original. Just stopped sparking. If I remove the woodruff key I can spin the flywheel by hand with a little lubrication. Measuring the output of the exciter coil by connecting a scope to the kill switch lead. With a good spin I get about 100 volts but no spark...
